This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Yarn Lust
I've been drooling over this yarn due to be released at Elann: The question is... which colour?:

I'd say the Lagoon Tweed or the Forest Tweed, definitely. And then I'd say 'How do you do that?! What a brilliant way of colour-sorting.'
what emmms said, plus the denim tweed (you and blue?! never. heh).
i actually also think the copper tweed would look nice on you too -- that was the first one I noticed. But I'm not sure I've seen you wear that color. :)
Love the way you stuck your head on the yarn - funny! I'd say Copper or Lagoon...or Tuscan Olive, or Forest. The blues are nice, too, and black is a classic. Cream & Ecru are both lovely. How can you go wrong? (Big help, aren't I?)
I was actually thinking the Copper Tweed would look nice too (along with Lagoon, Forest, Olive and Denim... or cream or Ecru), and although I don't wear it much, I don't have any objections to the colour.
I'm pretty sure I'm not considering the black... although it's not doing it in the photo (from September, when I probably still had a bit of a tan), black makes me look really pale. I wear it sometimes anyway, but it's not a good look for me.
As to how I did this, I used GraphicConverter (PhotoShop or something similar will work too) to roughly crop my head from a photo and give it a white background (it didn't hurt that I was standing against a white door in the photo), then arranged things in Illustrator. You can also use your photo editing program to do the arranging, but it's a bit easier in Illustrator to move things around until you're happy.
I'm pretty sure I have a strong leaning to the Copper Tweed. I like how it looks, plus it's a colour I'm less likely to find in other yarns I consider for other sweaters. (It's nice to have variety in my wardrobe.)
I was going to suggest Lagoon Tweed or Midnight Blue Tweed, and rejected the Copper Tweed because it was too close to your skin tone, but if you aren't really that tan, then it would work well too.

For some reason your post reminded me that the Andy Warhol Exhibit is in town this winter.
Also, I concur with the four tweed recommendations. Very nice colours, though it's always hard to match and compare colours on a computer.
I thought about going to the Warhol exhibit, but I'm not sure I feel like spending $12.
These yarns I only get to see online, though. I think I look quite a bit darker than normal in the photo. But it's better than nothing.

i like cooper tweed best myself!
I like either the copper tweed or the denim tweed -- and the picture idea is brilliant!
copper tweed or lagoon tweed.

I´m late to this post, but just wanted to say that you are so funny Andrea! I love how you posted your face over each yarn color!
Lagoon Tweed - it would bring out your eyes. I like the Forest Tweed too. And you are too funny with the heads on the swatches. :-)
