Mail Call

Aside: I keep getting a message saying there were errors on publishing, but the posts seem to be there when I click edit. I'm going to keep writing posts in the hopes they do indeed appear on my blog and in my feed. If they don't, I think I will be somewhat annoyed. Blogger, please be nice and cooperate! I've eaten my moonpie and sweettarts already, but I'll share my m&m's!

There's been fun mail recently!

First of all, Alison: I got the socks back. I'll get to work on fixing the ankles on Monday. :)

Crochetville Fairy: Thank you for the RAOK! :) Everyone, look what I got:

I got a moonpie, sweettarts, m&ms, fun bits of novelty yarn, and the package was wrapped up in blue paper, and had fun stickers *and* neat stamps! I think I have both the 1 and 2 cent birds, but "LOVE" and the teapot are new to my collection. :))

Margene sent me her "suck". Well, she calles it a "suck", but I think it's an awesome sock. :))

She even sent me the leftover yarn (complete with some appropriate tangles) to I can make it a friend. :) If I successfully learn to make it a friend, I'll modify the first so that it fits me. (It's a tad too long.) Otherwise, I'll make it into a cute stuffed animal. ;) Thanks Margene!

Mystery package: On Friday I got a slip saying there was a package I had to sign for, and I could pick it up Saturday after 9. Well, I had Candidates Day stuff from 7:15 to 11:20. Afterwards I hopped on a bus to run my errands, which included a quick stop at the library, picking up a few items from Whole Foods, dropping off a prize entry form at The Cotton Boll (a fabric store), and picking up the package. I wasn't sure how heavy the package would be... I'm thinking this may be my GISBE package, and I know the one I sent was quite heavy. I didn't want to lug around a heavy package for the rest of my errands, so I left it for last. I arrived at the post office at 12:50... only to discover Saturday hours ended at noon! Aaargh! *sigh* I guess I'll stop in Monday morning (after 8:30... I checked the hours!) on my (detoured) way to school. I'm excited to see what's in the package, and who it's from! :)

I wonder if my GISBE partner got her package yet? I'll e-mail the organizers again after I check my package on Monday. I'll let them know I got my package while I'm at it... assuming my guess is correct.
