Things are looking up! Jack and I had a good long talk during our weekly meeting. I've decided to renew my lease for 1 year (there's enough hope that I will indeed graduate, and that's about how long I'll need), and Jack and I will be scheduling "writing time", where we do something similar to what I do with Helen, which really works for me. :) Hopefully this will work just as well.
Hopefully I can afford tuition for another year. I think I'll live as frugally as possible, so as to reduce how much I have to transfer from my Canadian bank accounts. I have savings there that I built up during my undergraduate years, but I'd really like to save as much of that as possible for a down payment on a house. (Ideally, I'd like to be living in a house within a year after graduating. I *really* prefer home ownership over renting.)

So, you're here a while longer?
I know that doesn't make you entirely happy, but it makes my life a bit more tolerable. :-)
And even if you end up having to rent for a little while after you graduate and get a job, it won't be the end of the world. With a new salary, you'll be doing okay and will be able to save up a down payment in no time, I'm sure.
Yep, I'm here for a while longer. ;) I'll survive, and it's definitely fun that I get to hang out with you longer.
