Baby Kimono

It's past time for some crafting content in this blog, if you ask me.

Well, this is how far the yarn I have took me in the Mason-Dixon Knitting heartbreakingly cute baby kimono:

I'm not sure an additional single ball will be enough, and I'd definitely have to buy the same colour... if they even have it. (If I had finished one front, a contrasting colour would have worked on the other side, I think.)

Hmmm. I'm considering ripping and re-doing in stockinette to see if I can finish one of the fronts that way. (Stockinette having different row gauge and all that.) What do you think?

Alternatley, do you know of a project that would use exactly (or a bit less) than this much yarn? Something that would be suitable given that it's softer and nicer than your regular kitchen cotton?

I am so happy you posted those pictures of the baby kimono because I was really nervous the first 6 rows for the arms weren't going to be enough, but now that I see from your pictures that the arm keeps going up and around. Anyway, that was a lot of help. Thanks!

Welcome! I have yet to try this pattern on an actual infant... I'm hoping one of my friends will get back to me soon. ;) (I'm a bit worried that the sleeves are still a bit narrow at 4" circumference. They look narrow!)
