Cleaning Windows
When I was a kid, my mom would use diluted vinegar and newspapers to clean the windows... wow... those sparkly clean windows were a thing of beauty. (Not quite enough to get me up off my butt to clean my own... but then, I don't have a ladder either.)
Method: In a 4L plastic ice cream pail (or similarly sized pail), mix warm water with a couple glugs of white vinegar. (I don't recall her measuring). Use a rag to wash the windows with the vinegar mixture, and then dry the window with crumpled up newspaper.
I don't understand why it works, but this method is magic.
