Dirty Dishes

Dirty Dishes
Dirty Dishes

Today I went out and plunked down money on a dishwasher.

Well, sort of. No actual cash or dishwashers were involved. There is, however, a large number on my credit card, and I now have several pieces of paper. One of them even has a photo of what my dishwasher may look like one day. When I got home, there was a large stack of dirty dishes. I tried consulting with my papers, but none of them seemed to want to wash the dishes. Not even the one with the photo of the dishwasher.

I guess I'll have to handwash these.

*sigh*

That is an excellent idea. If I'd known you had a place to put one, I'd have suggested it long ago, since handwashing your dishes seems to be the bane of your existence some days (and I don't blame you!).

So where ARE you going to put a dishwasher in your apartment?

Yay you! Is it one of those countertop kind or a full size dishwasher? I feel your pain on the dish chore, if it weren't for hubby we'd probably never have clean dishes lol. Like you, I'd get round to 'em when I needed something from the pile but otherwise they'd sit. I'd rather shovel horse poop in a 125 degree barn ALL DAY than wash a sinkful of dishes! (and on occasion when I lived in Arizona I did make that choice!!)

The problem is that I don't really have a place to put one, but I've decided I'd rather trip over it than hand wash my dishes.

It's a full size dishwasher, as opposed to a countertop model. The countertop models are too big for my meager countertop space (they'd hang out over the sink), and I'm not sure they're able to wash pots.

I think I have two options for where to put the dishwasher... one is to leave it in the kitchen, and either park it in front of the back door or the stove, and just move it when I need to use either. The other option is to park it in the livingroom. I have more space in the living room, but there's a little lip between the livingroom and kitchen floors... I'll have to see how annoying it is to roll the dishwasher over it.

I really should have gotten one a long time ago, but it's no use crying over spilt milk.

Ironically, this dishwasher will double the amount of counterspace I have. ;)

I LOVE my dishwasher. Good choice!

Your comment about just having a piece of paper made me crack up- that reminded me of my boyfriend saying he paid about the same amount he would on a house, that he did on a piece of paper- his college diploma :)
