A friend gave me two balls of Hempathy. The tank-top is on time-out for a bit (gauge issues), and I wanted something simple... so I decided to make another hand towel. Here it is, a few rows after I joined the second ball:
This is nice stuff. I think I'll buy enough balls to make a tank top or two. :) (And the hand towel should help me estimate how many balls I'll need!) I'm knitting this on US 3, which gives a nice gauge.

hey, your blog looks different!
I really like hempathy, though it's a bit pricey! I am (well, was, for now) working on a top in it.
It is pricey, isn't it? But now that I know that I like it... and hopefully a tank-top's worth won't take *too* many balls. ;) I wonder if I can find it on sale somewhere...
Oh... and yes, I did update the blog look. It's one of the new Blogger templates. :)
I'm wearing my Hempathy tank top right now, as it happens.
It's a lovely yarn but remember it GROWS when it hits the water, then grows some more while you're wearing it.
You may recall the top was very snug as I was knitting it, and I can pinch a good 3" (double thickness) off the side even as I type.
I would make this top at least a size smaller, maybe more, if I were doing it again.
Thanks for the reminder! I had forgotten that. (Assuming I knew...)
I still have the ball I got from you, but haven't decided what to make yet. I was going to make a hand towel, but it definitely looks like a hand towel needs two. Perhaps a washcloth, or as a coordinating trim on the tank top.
Your sample is knitting up nicely. Hubby has two hemp sweatshirts which he loves. They wash up well and keep their shape so I'm ok with them. I haven't tried the yarn yet.
