I love the smell of lilacs in the spring. I'm sorry I can't attach the scent to my blog so that you can share. (So don't scratch your monitor in an attempt to smell them. It won't work.)

The lilacs have been blooming here since I arrived. (They were just coming out when I got here, and they're in full bloom now.) These white ones are lovely, although the lilac ones are probably my favourite.

I have a huge lilac bush (though mine is so big it is almost like a tree!) in front of my house -- when it blooms in early spring here, it's all I can smell when I step out my front door!

I cut it back about 50% this year after it bloomed, but I know it'll be almost as big again next year!
