This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

I can't spin?
Hmmm... my spinning doesn't look quite like the videos here. I think maybe I'll give it a try, though. ;) (My spinning involves parking the spindle. Lots. Rather slow.)

do you pre-draft? it helps separate the fibers and makes drafting easier. I park and draft when I'm sitting down and I draft otherwise when I'm standing up. :)
I do predraft, but I was spinning based on a text description, which made the process sound much more stop and go. Also, I wasn't entirely sure how to hold the roving. It makes much more sense watchig these videos.
ooh, thanks for this link. I'm going to watch them on my faster computer (not this slowpoke I have set up at the couch-yes, I did say couch, LOL). I keep chickening out of trying my drop-spindle that RebeccaV sent me(AWESOME RAOK) :) , I'm so excited to try it, yet chicken. dumb huh I need a good whack on the head with a big 'S' hook sometimes I think, haha.
