Hmmm... this seems to be regular. Maybe I should make a cute little button. But not while I'm supposed to be working. ;)
Today's tip: cloth napkins.
*gasp* Cloth napkins?!?! But the laundry!!! 3 meals x 7 days x #people in house... egad!
Actually, no, I don't find there's a lot of laundry. Think about it... how dirty do you actually get your paper napkins? Do you throw them out because they're filty and you need a new one, or because the meal is over and they're wrinkled? I find I only use 2-3 cloth napkins per week, which does not add significantly to my laundry. Granted, there's only one of me in the house, but it's still a small increase if you look at it percentage-wise in a multiple person household. I prefer cotton napkins, without a lot of decoration: they're more absorbant. No need to iron, either: simply fold when they come out of the dryer. And just think how classy your neighbours will think you are. ;)

I use cloth napkins and have for years with a family of 5 -- it does not add significantly to my wash. I mix & match and like to pick them up at garage sales (vintage ones are nice) and have also cut up old, worn, cotton tablecloths and things to make my own (don't even hem them, just fray the edges).
