Cinnamon Buns
No burned buns here! I managed this by placing the rack fairly high in the oven.
They've passed the taste test. Twice.
Today's effort was to use up butter and pecans, but I still have more of both. I guess I'll just have to bake another batch. I think I actually prefer them without pecans, but that wouldn't use up the pecans...

Perhaps if you crushed up the pecans, you would like them better? I can't remember if you roll up your cinnamon buns or not, but if you do, you could roll up some of the crushed pecans in them, instead of putting them all on top. That way they might not be so overpowering?

They look like what I would call "pecan rolls," though I don't think my pecan rolls generally have cinnamon (I've never made them nor looked at the recipe; I just eat 'em!). At any rate, they don't TASTE cinnamon-y. What I call cinnamon rolls don't generally have pecans (though they might be yummy with the pecans).
Paulina: I got the idea after you had that pecan thingy at Panera. I figured I could get the same effect with my mom's cinnamon bun recipe. (At least, I could imitate the pecans on the top.) So I guess these are a bit of my own invention. A very tasty, fattening invention...
