Gah... things came up, and it's now 9:30 pm, and the temperature has dropped to -30 C. The snow can wait. If I go out now, I *know* I'm not going to get to bed at a reasonable time (since it will take a bit to unwind), and that will ruin my plan of being alert and making progress tomorrow. :P

I moved to eastern Ontario back in August from Ohio, and so far the winter has been nothing I haven't already lived through. All the natives keep insisting that it gets much more vicious than this, but I'm not intimidated yet.
It appears that I moved to the wrong province if I wanted serious snow.
From what I gather, your area had been getting some freakishly warm weather this year. I know Montreal has been unusual.
We don't get as much snow as, say, Colorado, but we do get serious winter.
