Well, my picture making plans got delayed yesterday due to me clicking the "yes, upgrade my copy of KiNG now" button... and then discovering it didn't like me any more. It turns out all I needed to do was update my JOGL library, and now everything is happy again.
I'm not sure these are the best choices of colours for a dissertation image, but it'll do for now. I saved the view in the kinemage, so I can recreate this image with different colours when I decide which would be best.

I have no idea what it's meant to be, and wouldn't get it if you explained it to me, but it's pretty darned cool looking!
