My grandmother had a huge collection of these wooden/string "toy" type things. When she passed away they went to my brother. I had no idea they still made them somewhere. I wonder if it is a Canadian thing. While we live in California, I have family ties to Nova Scotia.

J bought it in New York, and the sticker on it says it's made in Russia.
