The weather today is freakishly warm for the beginning of March. The high is supposed to be near 80F! I hope this isn't indicative of what the summer will be like. (Granted, I'm leaving at the end of May, but I'd rather it not be unbearably hot by then.) Today I'm wearing shorts and my picovoli.
My knees haven't gotten the memo that there's nothing wrong with them. Silly knees.
I started a mobius lotus blossom hat Tuesday. I'm making it out of the leftover bits of Noro Silk Garden. I've finished the brim, but haven't completed the first pattern repeat on the hat yet. I think it's looking pretty good so far, though.
My purple trekking socks are awesome. I'm only halfway up the first foot, but the subtle striping is pretty. :)
I was good budget-wise in February, so I get to buy another ball of Trekking yarn! Hmmm... which to choose? :) What's even cooler is that I managed to stay in budget while buying that one ball of yarn from Shuttles, Needles and Hooks, *and* while making a KnitPicks order! Of course, the fact that I got a cash-back cheque from CitiBank helped. ;)
My knitpicks order includes "Unexpected Knitting" by Debbie New (truly unexpected! I saw a copy that a fellow SNBer passed around one Tuesday), some size US 2 dpns (I'm going to try knitting a pair of socks! I think the yarn Jess gave me will work with the wyvern pattern), a couple colour cards, and a small bottle of kookaburra woolwash to try. :)
Although I wasn't feeling so great yesterday, my tongue was feeling better. This morning my tongue and eyelids were swollen, but my tongue doesn't feel tender like it did before. (My eyelids seem to swell at night, but return to mostly-normal shortly after I get up.)
MN's socks are nearly done. I finished the socks themselves on Monday, and now I just need to add the embellishments. Hopefully I'll get them to MN before Winnipeg gets too warm.
Well, I can't think of anything else exciting to report. Hopefully I'll have a FO photo in the next few days. ;)

Hey, I was thinking of doing the Wyvern too. Should we have a knitalong?
That would be fun... then you could teach me the sock-knitting stuff I don't know. ;)
Well, I haven't done toe-up before, but I can probably step up to help. I'll bring sock yarn and pattern on tues.
No rush... my needles haven't arrived yet. I'll let you know when they do.
