Man, painting cat fur is *hard*!!! I'm done the head (except for the whiskers). I needed a break before starting the body. I'm hoping the body will be a bit easier... there's less patterning.
For comparison, here's the photo I'm working from:
My colour is off, but I think I'm doing okay.
My painting looks better in the photo than in real life... you can't look as close at the photo. ;)

wow! i think that looks fantastic! it really is a good likeness to kitty fur (and some you're not allergic to). :) I can't wait to see the finished version, whee!
