This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Making Progress
Woo-hoo! I'm making progress. :) I now have a perl program that parses a file with lists of residues, and then selects just those residues from a kinemage to make a new kinemage. I've been wanting to look at the interface between chains a and b in 7gpb. J wrote a matlab program that gave me a list of all residues within 10Å of the other chain (with distance, and which atoms), and now I have a perl program that will make his list into something useful. :) It took me way too long to do it, but I'm happy that I've gotten it done.
It isn't actually fully complete... it only checks the residue number of the first atom on each line, but it's close enough. I mainly wanted to get an idea of what the interface looks like. (I haven't decided if I care enough to iron out that last "bug"... this is more for my own analysis of a protein than for distribution. If I distribute, I'll iron out that bug.)
