I have an ongoing dialogue with a non-knitting friend about these sorts of things as knitting. Mathematical spaces, forms, etc. Have you seen the brain diagram fiber art?

When I have kids, I would be disappointed if no one made them DNA strands :)
My friends would definitely know... I hang out with a pretty geeky crowd. (I just take it to an extreme.)
You could pair it with these. I, personally, think it would be a fantastic gift!
That alphabet is *awesome*!!! I think I want a set for around the top of my home office. :)
