Battle of the Bulbs
Although compact fluorescent bulbs are great for energy use, there are situations where incandescent bulbs are better. Like for migraine sufferers. Although I do believe that fluorescent bulbs should be promoted, and incandescent bulbs discouraged, I disagree with banning them altogether.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way - I get a little scared at the thought of all those potential migraines.
Amen sister, I hate the light of a flourescent, ick. If incandescents are banned, I am going to candle use only.
Seriously.
there are some florescents that aren't as harsh as some of them. and for some reason, the compact ones don't give me migraines. we've switched to them, almost exclusively. it's the big long ones that get me (i think it's the subtle buzzing that does it to me (and yes, i have hypersensitive hearing, sigh))
