Tomato Crayon
Okay, someone *totally* needs to leave a comment to deflate my ego. Something like "anyone can do that," or "designing crochet is trivial." I need it. I'm so impressed with myself and my crayons that my head must be the size of a hot air balloon. Please help me before I float away on the breeze! ;)
This is the crayon for my afghan, not the baby blanket. I still need to sew the text on (using those longish ends I left, plus maybe some more yarn).
I think I've decided to use the gray yarn from my afghan for the baby blanket lettering. I like how it looks here. If I don't have enough, I have a plain grey square that I can frog for more yarn. (It's the one I'm planning on sewing the maple leaf on... but I can just as easily use charcoal for that square.) Should I need even *more*, I have a decorative stitch square I can frog, and then redo in another plain yarn as well. It kind of hurts that it may come to this, but I really think it's the right yarn for the job.
Now, don't forget to deflate my ego! ;)

Well, it won't be me deflating your ego. The crayon looks good. I like it.
