This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Sophie
Actually, the dpns I need are 10.5. Converting to metric (where I can actually understand the difference), 10.5 is 6.5mm, and 8 (the dpns I have) are 5mm. So the difference is 1.5mm. Hmmm...
I just felted my Sophie, and I think you'll be fine with the smaller needles for the handles - I modified mine so I had 3 instead of 2, and braided them instead of twisting them... if I can do that with no problems in felting, I'm sure the needle size difference won't matter. :)

I'd just modify the handles to work with whatever needles you have. It will look fine.
