Canada Sweater Progress

Canada Sweater Progress
Canada Sweater Progress

I've finished the maple leaf on the front of the sweater. I stayed up way too late to do so... I was just soooo close, and wanted to finish before bed.

Of course, then I slept way too late this morning. *sigh*

I can tell where I changed balls on the back, but at least that's on the back, and not the front. ;)

Wow! That's a lot of progress. The big leaf is very good. And the little leaves look good, too, especially since your "pixels" are so big.

Is the change in balls on the back very high up? I'm not sure it's very obvious --- maybe it's more obvious in person. I'd never considered a dye-lot problem (being a non-knitter and all). Is this a common problem?

Thanks!

The change in balls is indeed very high up. If you scan over to the leaf, it's about the height of the tops of the two lower big points, maybe about two inches from the top? You can tell because it switches to a lighter, more variegated red.

Ok, I've gotta ask. I married a Canadian and when we were first married we lived in Calgary. Now, I am a San Diego kindof gal, born and raised. So, Calgary was a bit much on the cold front for me! With that being said we are still going up to Vancouver about 2-3 times a year to visit family.

All that to say, I've got to have that pattern! Did you make that yourself? If not, where do I get it? If so, can I buy the pattern from you? Or, I'll send you some of of my hand-dyed yarn (see my blog!). Anything! My family will love it up there!!!!

Thanks for listening... Have a GREAT week finishing it up!

You're doing great on the sweater!
I love the colorway of the yarn - it looks so nice in every one of your pics.
