I treated myself to a lily from the grocery store yesterday. I plan to enjoy it inside while it blooms (I picked the one with the most closed blooms) and then plant it in the garden so that it blooms for years to come. (My building's caretaker commented that he loved the lilies in my mother's garden. One of the ones she has is like this one, that was also once from the grocery store.)
I think I'd also like to paint a series of macro shots from my lily for the next art show. (I'd actually have something for sale that people could afford! ...If I don't want something to sell, I price it high.)
