This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Pseudo-Wet Stones
I finally found paste wax. Applying paste wax to room temperature stones resulted in stones that looked wet at first, but, after they dried overnight, went back to their former appearance. Heating the stones in the oven and then applying the wax appears to have done the trick. The newspaper I sat them on absorbed some of the wax as they dried, and I think I over-waxed one of the rough stones... but I'm pretty happy with them now. :)
These are my paperweights. (I can sometimes get quite strong cross-breezes through my apartment, and anything not weighted down goes flying.) I will be covering some of them the way Resurrection Fern does. Others I will leave the way they are.
