This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Lettuce 1, Lettuce Keeper 0
I can occasionally fit a lettuce in the lettuce keeper. More often than not, though, it doesn't fit.
Luckily I have some plastic bags that perfectly fit around the top. (So I'm still creating trash, but... well, I'm not sure what the positive is, except that I don't have to wash the lettuce keeper without at least getting some use out of it first.)

so those lettuce keepers are designed for the poor maligned iceberg lettuce, not lovely leaf lettuce. a cabbage might also fit......kudos for trying anyway.:)
I know, but it looks a bit on the small size for some iceberg lettuces I've seen too. ;) I wouldn't even try with a store-bought romaine, but I have fit in little romaine lettuces from the farmer's market. Since the leaf lettuce is shorter than a romaine, I thought I'd give it a try.
Tupperware lettuce storage was for the iceberg lettuce we ate in the 70's!
I know... this is a hand-me-down from my grandma. ;)
