This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Peek-A-Boo!
I see sprout type #2! Hurray for calendula!
Note to self: When planting tiny seeds, *resist* the urge to put more in the hole to compensate for them being so tiny! I'm going to have to thin those poppies. :P
spring! even in manitoba... (do you know the easiest way to thin those tiny plants is to snip off the extras with nail scissors?) i've been more and more going to just perennials and don't have space for more plants, but i miss the rush of seeds sprouting. where are you planning on putting all those babies?
I'm adding some garden beds around the apartment block, to spruce the place up a bit. (Long story... short version: I asked if it was okay if I weeded the grass out of the plants that *were* there, and the caretaker asked me if I'd plant flowers.)
Yeppers. I dug bed to the left of the front door. (Another tenant did a mess of a job starting the other side, but I'll do it properly next weekend.) I'll be adding beds in the back too, but all this digging of sod takes time. :P (Red River gumbo is tough stuff!)

I always plant like 6 per peat pot! But that's just me :)
I also get reeeeeally excited when I see my seedlings emerge.. VICTORY!
I normally try to restrain myself to 2-3, or even just one if it's a large seed. But I slip up and put way too many in for the tiny seeds. ;)
I always find it exciting when the seeds start to grow.
