Colourwork is sloooooooooowwwwwwww!

Intarsia would be faster, in my opinion.

I need to figure out a faster way to secure the floating threads than what I'm doing... which involves dropping the yarn, twisting the two, then picking the yarn back up. At least now I'm alternating the twists so that I don't end up having to detangle at the end of each chart portion.

It's looking good! I love those colors!

I found two-color stranded work to be fairly quick actually (except for the constant reading of the chart). I hold both strands of yarn in my left hand and just alternate which one I pick up. It keeps it neat and the gauge more consistent for me - it doesn't involve any twisting and the threads are secure. I watched some videos on it ... but I can't find them now! Grar.

If you do find the videos, I'd love to see them!

It is slow. I find that if I knit fair isle as opposed to intarsia, I move faster. Maybe it's all in my head, but I feel like I am moving faster...LOL.
