Wow!!!

I sold something!!! The art show is this weekend, and I sold a piece of art! (More than just cards or magnets!) I sold a charcoal nude that I drew, and I liked enough that I priced it at $150 because I figured that no one would pay that much. I'm rather stunned. And proud. :)

I think this marks my first "real" art sale... I've sold one painting to a stranger before, but it was at a church auction, and it only went for $30. (Aka, the guy was buying it because it was cheap, or because he was supporting the church, rather than for a true appreciation of the painting.) I also sold a painting to my cousin, which, while neat, "doesn't really count" due to it being family. ;)

Wow.

Well, back when I was a kid, I sold a "sculpture" at a shop in Flin Flon. So I guess this was my second piece of art. (The "sculpture" was pretty close to "craft", though, because it was a little felt guy fishing off a piece of driftwood.)

Cool. :)

Of course, now I have a "hole" on my wall, and need to decide what I'll hang instead.
