Could someone please explain what these little white fluffy things falling from the sky are? It is *May*. This weekend is the May long weekend (Monday is Victoria Day). The May long weekend is supposed to be when it's safe to plant, because the danger of hard frosts is over. (Could someone please explain that to the -3 temperatures yesterday morning, causing the appearance of thick ice?)
Why are there now *more* white fluffy things falling than a moment ago? It's getting to the point where it's hard to ignore...

We saw white fluffy things on the way to T's from the airport but it turned out to be tree fluff.
Sadly, I don't think this was tree fluff. Sylvia K used the "s" word, and people up in Gimli, etc, were shovelling.
