This is my own little soapbox. Disclaimer: It is not written by someone you think you know, but by her evil twin. Absolutely nothing said here is true. Everything, including the last statement, is a complete work of fiction. This blog is completely boring, and includes entries on when I last washed my dishes, how many pairs of socks I've crocheted, and the occasional rant. These are not the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Meme
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

I remember when you wrote to me after hearing my essay on Cast On. You offered to carry a swatch for me on your travels, and Travels with Swatchy was born. I am so grateful for your kindness!
I remember the time you came to Phoenix for a conference. You and Pam (hiphipcrochet) and I went to the LYS for some SnB time and then to Cracker Barrel for some good eats. I don't remember what we ate, but I know we enjoyed it a lot.
Hey! Mel stole my memory!
I remember you bought some Spritly Goods fiber at the LYS. And Cracker Barrel (not at the LYS)
Mmmm... Cracker Barrel! I know I had biscuits, but I can't remember the rest of what I ate. It was great, though. :)
Pam: You'll just have to be faster at the draw! ;) Actually, I don't think there are any rules against shared memories. ;) (Mmmm... petting all the pretty fiber and yarn... thanks for the trip to the LYS!!)
Knittah: Welcome! It's been fun!
I remember your grade school assignment about heroes, and the stir it caused with family members who were (or were not) acknowledged in your essay.
Not an in person memory, but I just remember how excited I was when I saw your little sheep in my comments box. I'd seen it around and thought it was so cute!
okay, so what pops into my head is just you in your crocheted hat with the Canadian mapleleaf trying to figure out where to sit on knit night at Foster's- the stuffed chairs kinda provoked asthma attacks and the others had to be positioned so the sun wouldn't end up in your eyes. ah, good times.
I remember when you drove my car back from the NC Renn Faire. Not many people get to drive my car. :-)
I remember when you were making those stitch markers out of clay... the cutsie robot ones... you sent some to me and now I can't remember what I sent back in return...
Albert. I remember the care you took over painting him.
Albert (the painted version) lives in my hallway now. I've hung him in an art show & sale, but I priced him high so that he wouldn't sell. ;)
Dandy: Were you the one who sent me two stitch markers, a row counting bracelet, and a pair of earrings? (Gee, I think I got a good deal!)
Oooo that does ring a bell... I bet that was me...cuz you couldn't wear the earrings and were going to turn them into stitch markers??
right
Dandy: Yep, that's it!
I remember meeting you at your apartment in Chapel Hill after having "talked" online for many months. Yonni took your ex's sweater for herself even though you were going to give it to me to reclaim the yarn.
