Come Walk With Me In Fredericton

Saturday, June 2, 2007.

Do you know what kind of plant this is:
IMG_1544.JPG
Growing up, we called it "honeysuckle"... but honeysuckle usually refers to something else. If you pull out the big petal, there's usually a drop of honey/nectar right at the base that you can lick off. The flowers smell just like honey too.

Look just to the right of the car, and you'll see a gopher:

Necklace

Necklace (front)

I bought myself a pretty sea glass necklace at the market Saturday morning. I love sea glass, silver, and amethysts... and couldn't resist the combination! The price was quite reasonable at $10 too.

Even the back is pretty:

The black cord is a bit long... I need to shorten it somewhat. I'll do that when I have access to matches (and/or a candle) to prevent the end from fraying. (It's just nylon.)

Spinning

Spinning

The spinning progresses slowly. I work on it every now and again before bed. It's so relaxing! I can't wait to see this plied. :)

I'm kind of curious what this plant is:

It's leaves look like columbine, but it's flower buds don't.

Yesterday's Sunset

Sunset

As seen from my office.

Old?!?

Do I look *old*?!?

I went to bed early last night... I had stayed up late the night before (there was a fascinating 3 part series on PBS on "Craft in America") and was tired. Around 11:30 pm I was awakened by some people talking rather loudly in the hall. *grump* I got up to use the bathroom, but didn't bother with my glasses. (I'm not that blind.) I kind of had my eyes screwed up because of the light after being in the dark, and not wearing my glasses. As I crossed the hall and entered the bathroom, I heard the girls voices hush and one of them tell the other "she's so *old*!" (I'm pretty sure that's what she said. But who knows... perhaps in my old age I'm going deaf and misheard.)

What!?!?!? Where does she get off saying that! Harumph! Stupid whipper-snapper!
