Ugh... I've been putting up with a Lysol* smell in my apartment since 10:00 am, and open windows isn't dispersing it. Anyone know any tips? (Anyone know any less-disgusting, less-scented alternatives to Lysol that I can suggest to my downstairs neighbour?)
*Yes, I was chatting with my downstairs neighbour, and it turns out Saturday morning is his "sanitize exercise equipment with Lysol" morning. Ugh. I *hates* Lysol!!!
The gym I go to uses vinegar in a spray bottle for everyone to use when they're done with a machine to get it ready for the next user.

ReplyDeleteA mix of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda will kill germs and deodorize quite nicely. Just make a saturated solution and put it in a spray bottle.
ReplyDeleteYou can also mix it as a paste and use it for stain removal.
That won't leave a white residue?
ReplyDeleteI like vinegar too but when I need Lysol I always use the Fresh Linen scented one. :)
